Liberal Judaism strongly recommends this curriculum, which was developed by the organisation From Yesterday, For Tomorrow.  Suitable for 11-16 year-olds, it looks at different aspects of the Holocaust through historical footage and first hand accounts.  The sessions challenge students to think about the relevance of the lessons of the past for today’s society and the experiences of minority groups.

Within this curriculum, you will find individual lesson plans with different activity ideas, resources, web links and pictures relating to the topic. Everything is included for you to teach but it can also be used as a tool for your own curriculum and lesson plans.  The From Yesterday, For Tomorrow curriculum does not have a particular order and can be used as a whole topic or some individual lessons as and when required.  This an excellent resource for use in Liberal Judaism religion schools.

The curriculum is split into the following nine sessions:

Action

Bystander

Choices

Commemoration

Dehumanisation

Denial

Language

Perpetrator

Victims
